Lincolnshire – the best of city, countryside, and coast.

Throw in heritage, culture, aviation, exceptional food and it’s easy to see why it is a well-loved destination.

An active role in Tourism

However, no-one could have predicted the challenges 2020 would present.  So to hear that Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston MP, himself a Lincoln lad, was visiting the city was a huge boost. Not only were we hosting a Minister who represented the sector in Government, he also has a deep rooted interest in tourism and wants to play an active role in its recovery

Lincolnshire has often been ranked as one of the friendliest places in the country. Through supporting the #EnjoySummerSafely campaign, Lincolnshire is looking forward to welcoming people back in August and beyond.

Enjoy Summer Safely

Visit Lincoln will continue to support tourism businesses, applying the Visit England industry standard ‘We’re Good to Go’, as well as pushing the messages ‘Enjoy Summer Safely’ and ‘Know Before You Go’.

The priority is marketing; stimulating safe local consumer spending coupled with attracting visitors safely. If there can be any silver lining, it is that the UK has been presented with an opportunity for domestic tourism, and Visit Lincoln is dedicated to achieving this.
